My name is Lisa Baker and I'm managing member of Blue Stone Staging & Design Co. I've always had a great eye
for creating warm and inviting spaces. My down to earth personality and positive attitude will put you at ease throughout the process.
I grew up in a small town in central PA, the youngest of three children. I was a good student, enjoyed playing sports, and spent as much time as I possibly could outside. After graduating college I moved to Harrisburg and started working at a large accounting firm. I spent a few years getting entrenched in professional life. I then decided to take a job with a nearby consumer goods company where I spent the next thirteen years advancing within their finance organization. These work experiences have made me business savvy, detail oriented, and adaptable to any situation.
You may wonder how or why I chose a different career. The reason is two fold. During those corporate years, my husband and I bought and sold three homes, with an average number of days on the market being in the single digits! It wasn't until our last home sold where we received such wonderful compliments on how our home was staged did I stop to think that I could help other homeowners get their house ready for sale. It was my "aha" moment. Combine that with wanting to bring more creativity and passion to what I do everyday, and desiring to show my young twin sons that you can have a career you love.
Once I made the decision to start on a new career path, I wanted to learn as much as I could. I enrolled into the Staging Diva training program, taught by renowned home stager Debra Gould, who has been featured on HGTV, CNN Monday, and many others.
In March of 2018 I traveled to Nashville, TN in order to earn my EPS designation, which is only one of 4 accredited home staging programs available in the United States. I was privileged to be taught by The Decorologist, Kristie Barnett, who has one of the top staging and decor blogs and has been featured in numerous magazines.
I'm also a member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) and Home Staging and Redesign Association (HSRA) where I am continually acquiring new skills and staying on top of the newest trends.
